Blair Childs has been at the center of policy issues in Washington, D.C. for more than three decades, playing a leading role on issues impacting medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare providers, insurers, physicians and hospitals and health systems. Childs has played a central role in developing and enacting tort, Medicare payment and delivery system reforms, and a private Medicare option, EMR interoperability, increased data access, and privacy and security protections, pharmaceutical pricing and other health reform legislation. He has run some of the nation’s most high-profile, successful public policy efforts in our nation’s history.
Childs is a highly respected and nationally recognized expert on health policy and the inner workings of Washington, D.C. He has been invited to and delivered more than 200 healthcare policy and market presentations to boards and executive leadership teams and maintains respected relationships with health system leaders across the nation. He is a frequent author of articles on health policy issues, including a weekly Washington update that grew organically to reach thousands of individuals and was looked upon by C-Suite leaders as their go-to information source.
Childs has appeared on and been quoted in virtually all major national publications and networks. Childs has reported to, served on and held leadership roles on numerous boards.
He is married, a father of 2, an avid athlete and an honors graduate from Middlebury College.
